My dad had a look at a V6 last week but decided against because of build quality..so its just me, and to be honest i dont think ill be buying another Renault!

IMO there has never been a true enthusiasts car that doesnt have some build niggles - how many Lexus, Toyota or Jaguar cars are true must have cars for the petrolhead? Conversely... Lancia Delta Integrale, Renault Clio Williams, Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo etc. Its the price you pay for a properly sorted car!

My parents had loads of Renaults up until the early 1980s, but then swapped to Volvo (currently four in the household). Im the exception: having had three hot Clios.

Ive had:

Renault 5 (1.0)

Renault 21 GTS (1.7)

1991 Clio (1.2)

2002 Clio (1.2)

The first 3 cars had the heater fans pack in, so they only had 1 speed, the 5 drivers door catch packed in so I tied it shut with some rope and used the passenger door to get in & out, the 21 cambelt snapped and done damage to the engine, and was a complete b*****d to sell (got £300 px for a scooter). Each renault had more problems than all of my other cars put together, and because Im stupid and dont learn by past mistakes I went out and bought a new Clio in 02, just waiting for something to break on that now.

Ive had loads in the past, but at present:

1 x Clio V6 Mk1 (soon to be Mk2)

1 x Scenic 1.6 Monaco

1 x Clio 1.8 RSi

My Mums got a 1.2 Clio Grande

My step Mums got a 3.0 V6 Laguna

Thats it for the family at the mo!!!!
