Go on http://www.tesco.comwww.tesco.com, click on Finance & Insurance then Motor Insurance, fill in your details and hey presto, you get a quote. No point estimating really, quotes can vary so much based on where you live as I am sure you know.

You could also try HIC as they have been giving people very good quotes on here for Valvers. Daz is only 20 with 0 NCD and he got a quote for a 16v for under £800 TPFT so give them a try too. Numbers are below :

You are supposed to have 1 years NCB but speak to Neil and see if they can do anything for you.

a less credible company will offer it less no doubt but just to compare, when i was 20, with no no claims, 6 months driving with a pass pluss my quote for a corsa GLS was £2400/1800 TPFT and thats only a 1.4 8v. They wanted £1700 for a corsa LS (1.2 8v) fully comp or 1400 TPFT and a Corsa merrit (1.2 8v) was 1400 fully comp and £1200 TPFT. As you can see i was trying to get a corsa SRI but it came very obvious that i had no change in paying for it and the insurance so i had to settle for a 1.2 8v clio for £1233 fully comp which was 17BHP faster than the corsa 1.2 so i dont know where they get the figures. your looking at least 1300 and insurance companies today are less likey to offer third party for cars worth a grand+

Tesco are silly... I get a different number every week off them - it was once £800 which id have been happy with then it turned into £2300 the next week - I think it just comes up with a random number these days...

Will give HIC a blast - its not till august anyway - but im a worrier...
