Well I always keep a bottle of this handy for Meets etc. when you want a clean shiny car but it gets dusty driving but was thinking there has got to be abetter product out there than the Megs Stuff.

Any Recommendations??

Quick and Easy Application is a must as I don't want to be standing in a Car Park etc. for ages applying it,

Cheers
Andy.

Clearkote quickshine is good stuff, leaves a nice finish behind in my experience and can be used on any surface. Though I think the one to have is Finish Kare 425, its apparently incredibly slick and has anti-static properties.

The FK is quite low on Durability but I suppose that wouldn't matter too much.... How the hell do you apply it?? Mist Spray or Blob of Product and a Polishing Cloth??

if you dont want any protection. CG synthetic detailer, if you want some protection Zaino Z8, but as its a tad dirty then the Zaino protection wont be immense, but still looks and smells amazing

Cheers Fella.... I've got SRP, EGP and no doubt will have a few other products being orserer soon so I'm mainly looking for something that just give s agood fresh shine for meets and pics as it always gets dusty before I get to anywhere worth taking pics of my car

I really like Zaino Z8, but its £20, the SOnus detailers are decent tbh. BUt if its just to get rid of dust then any detailer will do tbh.

The purists will say it inflicts swirls doing what your doing. But aslong as its not dirty then anythign will do.

Z8 is my ideal choice, but CG synth detailer is decent as is the new megs ultimate one tbh

Any of these will do but i didnt like CG Speed wipe

Cheers Lads..... I did wonder about it swirling the Paintwork but I'm also toying with the idea of a G220 aswell so swirls could be cured with that.... I'll read up on those products that you 2 have suggested

Ah I see..... I'm open for any products that people have used/seen that give a nice deep shine and will also work wek=ll with say SRP,EGP and R222's whih is my basic routine for the car but I'm getting hooked on Detailing so my list and knowledge will hopefull grow alot over the is year :)

Mate i have a cupboard full of pap that i bought and dont use.

STick to what you like and only buy products that you dont have.

Anything claiming to be better than what you have is debatable(except maybe your wax,).

YOur only consideration is polishing and making sure you have adequate towels etc. When EGP runs out you may want to try a spray sealant as they are alot easier.

No sealant magically makes the car 60% more shinier in my experience, its all about the Prep. Once you reach a certain level (stuff your using is decent, no glazes etc will add to it) then polishing is best option

I polished my RB properly and all the other products didnt add anything to the finish really.

Very True.... I'm running low on Shampoo so will be one of my next purchases... EGP is abit of a pain to apply so I will probably buy something different..... I just saw R222's wa recommended as an easy on easy off wax with decent results so went with it as I'd never owned any wax before.

Oh yeah it is, but i do alot of motorway miles and it wouldnt last. But from what i have seen it is a very good wax and easy to apply.

I really like Jeffs Carnauba spray sealant. I just kept layering it and layering it and didnt even add wax and it looked the bizz.

My car is a high miler so I need something that lasts well as its definitely no garaged motor.

Might just order it anyway :)

Trying to think if I need anything else while I'm at it.... Hmmm

NOt sure how I have only just spied this Andy, usually always in the detailing section lol.

I use Megs no;16 final inspection now. Get it in big tanks from CYC. Much better than spending around a fiver on Megs QD!!!

Just ordered Britemax Spray and Shine and a I4D Uber Drying Towel as my Drying Towel was looking Tired,

For some reason I obviously posted this in the E&B Section rather than Detailing... Silly Me.

Ha, did wonder.

Let me know about the britemax. I need to order another towel, need something as plush as possible, last couple haven't been that great :(

"The Uber Drying & Detailing Towel will not lint and is machine washable hundreds of times to give you a great towel that will last for years "

Hence the rest of mine have gone to pot!
