replacement short ratio gearbox for Mk1 172

Any ideas what else can be used instead of the original gearbox of RS1 172?

15/58 is the std ratio, I am aiming for 15/61 or stg close to this.

I know Mk2 RS gearbox would fit but it is gonna be bloody expensive in Turkey.

Any other one's which would fit also such as laguna's or megane's?

i heard of someone fitting a kangoo diesel box, but i have no idea on the ratios

There loads to chocie any jb1 or 3 or JC5 or JR5 will fit not saying its any good though best keep with a JC5 IMO fitted to loads of cars.

keep JC5 and get yourself a shorter final differential
