replacing 182 gearbox !

hi guys..
im thinking of replacing my 182 gearbox..and sure i want a 6 speed gearbox..
so ay ideas?
im thinking of the Megane sport gearbox or the new 197 clio..can they fit my 182 clio ?

the megane box wont fit the face is alot bigger ..... there are romours of a 6 speed conversion for the JC5

As jon said the Megan box has a big mating face you could do use the Megan/Lagun etc lower engine and bolts th 172 head on and best whilst your at it swop the pistons from the 172 doner etc as there higher CR. Also you'll need to have the head drilled as the 172 uses a high CR.
The new RS clio box won't fit either as its designed for the new wide mating face cultch.

However if you use the bottom end of a Megan etc you'll have to make the mounts up youreself plus the other problem is that you need driveshafts making plus the gearbox is to big to drop and fit you'll need to starting cutting bits of the car away so it would need restrengthing .
