Replacing ball joint, anyone?

Car  98 Clio 1.2 RN
Need to change the ball joint on my car as it needs doing, the noise from it when turning is outrageous.
does anyone know the best way to replace one?

Jack up car, preferably both fronts at the same time.

Undo the pinch bolt and bolts holding it to the wish bone. use ball joint splitter to remove fully.

Be careful the driveshafts don't get pulled out in the process.

As above, the pinch bolt in last one I did was welded in, so just purely for ease of acces I removed caliper and disk, put a pry bar through bottom arm and leavered it down to relieve stress on pinch and ball joint, knock pinch bolt out, then remove both bolts holding to arm. When buying new ball joint its the 12mm one.
and then I find it easier to put ball joint into hub first and then bolt onto arm.
