Sure they don't just need a bleed? Having mine done at the 12k service.

mine don't feel as good as they used to at 12k,so I think a order for pads/fluid from fred will be on the cards in the new year ;)

Air gets into the fluid.. they run new fluid through this system to get rid of the air (i think)

Mine are really bad... did a brake test the other day.. 80-0 my foot was flat to the floor and they just went flat.. no stopping power.

Pads&fluid I would go for, about £100 for what I'm after, depends what you want, changing pads over easy enough depending what your like with spanners of course

I would get them checked. I really hammer mine and there is loads left on the pads, they just need a bleed.

Maz have you ACTUALLY checked the brakes, or are you just going off what Renault have told you

one of our customers destroyed the std brakes after only 5K

There not very think as stock anyway least there only cheap though. (so long as you on't neeed pads) ds2500's you can get in rears if you want.

^^ huh ??

Oops err my typing getting worse.

Meant to say the pads arn't thick as new so even 2mm is still a good protortion of the pads. Least there only cheap to change anyway. You can get DS2500s if you want to on the back for a few quid more.

I know they all do but some more than others right ??

I want something that don't squeal (sp) and give off as little dust as possible..

my cup has just turned 3 years old and is on 15K and a wee bit, I replaced the front discs and pads around 13.5k, a few weeks ago with the MOT looming I realised I was gonna need rear discs due to corrosion (cup problem) and I rang renault uk and argued the case. I managed to get rear discs and pads fitted at the local dealers and renault paid 70% which worked out far cheaper than actually doing the job myself.......so it may be worth a ring to reanault uk, although you would need to find the problem you have because if it's just worn pads you can forget it!! but if it's corrosion you may have a case as I managed it.....HTH
