Replacing Rear Indicator Lamp

Hi,

The right rear indicator lamp on my Clio has recently stopped working. I have a spare Bosch one from a replacement that Halfords did before but I was going to try and fit it myself. Does anybody know what tools are required to remove the rear light cluster? I've looked and it seems to be a special type of screw head. The Clio is a 2010 model.

If anybody has any advice, suggestions etc that would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
James.

It's a Torx screw. I honestly can't remember the size but it will be something like TX15, TX20 or TX25

Hi,

That's great thanks, I've just managed to find a Torx 15 in the garage and that seemed to the trick...it's not the best of things to be doing on a freezing Thursday night though lol!

Hi,

I managed to replace the lamp in the passenger rear light cluster the other day but it looked like it had stopped working again yesterday but when I took the light cluster off and put it back on it started working again, so not sure what is causing the problem! I also found out that lamp that I had taken out the other day hadn't actually gone, so I'm wondering whether some kind of electrical problem could be causing this? The indicator sound quickens as if a lamp has gone and only the passenger side door and front indicator were lighting up...very strange!

Any advice or ideas would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
James.

Check the connections. Uses a spring type strip of metal that holds the bulb in place and acts as the connection IIRC, check to make sure this isn't pushed too far back.
