replacing the engine

Hi everyone. yeah that's me again so I found again some more problems with my evil 1.2l 16v clio 2002 :S first of all i cant find engine code on the engine, the cylinder head gasket gone, I think so, because my coolant disappearing and I got white crap on oil fill cap:S , engine bottom looks like little bit knocking and I got oil leak on one of the engine side. So should i get another engine and after full rebuild just reshuffle the, ? or should I get another engine from ,lets say 05 plate engine, and get that in? any ideas ,offers?:clown:
P.S. cant afford to buy 172 or 182 because insurance in Bradford area is stupid hight ,,, :/ so got to stay with 1.2 and start doing tuning if I would like to get some more power... any offers for more power with 1.2?

depending on your date of manufacture ,ie 2002, you cannot put a after 2004 1.2 engine in as its a ball ache. ask spinksy lol

if your 1.2 is made after 2004 then you can. tbh, get a second hand lump, throw a timing belt and water pump on, new clutch and slap it back in. not worth the hassle fo trying to get any power from a 1.2.

ok, thank you for advice I will get my old engine sorted out. have you got any ideas where from get another engine ? in Bradford or Leeds area?

nearest to you i would pressume is doncaster renparts. they have a load of 1.2 engines mate

what's is exactly CR in D4f 712 engine?

Totally unrelated but yes, might need spacers due to offset to stop rubbing
