Hey there,
I just replaced my clio 172 ph2 tie rods and end tie rods (balljoints) and i want to share with you the process.( the parts are Febi parts)
Its actually pretty simple to do. Just need to correct tools.
1. Popping the wheel out.
2. Remove to lower engine plastic cover (just for better approach)
3. Unbolt balljoint screw and hammer it out (if hard you can move the hub back and forth while knocking)
4. Cut the zip tie that holds the rubber cover and move the cover to convenient place( you can cut it completely off course)
5. Open the tie rod with the correct tool and remove it from the car.
6. I measured the length of the old one and tried to make the new one at the same length.(because the balljoint are not at the same size and shape it was hard to measure)
7. Put the rubber cover on the tie rod then bolt on the balljoint. Now bolt the tie rod to the steering rack (you can spin the balljoint by hand- it will help to screw in the intire rod) and then tight it with a tool( my friend recommended to put a locktite to the tie rod threads)
8. Put the rubber cover on the steering rack and zip tie it.
9. Put the balljoint in to the hub and tight it with a torque of 37 nm.
10. Put back the wheel and do the same on the other side if needed.
I chose to do this "refresh" to my steering parts cause when i did a front alignment they said i have some free space over the tie rods. So i decided to replace all the components over the steering parts, since my car is almost 12 year old its will do just good ( and it did!)
Next week i am going to replace the steering rack bush to powerflex.
Anyway, i did a test ride and its great. The steering is much sharper but more important, the feedback from the wheel is amazing. Before it didnt say a word, now it won't stop talking[emoji6]. So much fun.

Have a nice day,
