Thank you for that information we are interested in taking up your offer but as our car is for sale please see our website for details, we may not have it then as we are now carrying out development work on our V6 Clio the results up to now are good I will keep you informed of the magazine that will test the car when finished, there are a few interested. With reference to the Rolling Road test day, we have arranged to borrow a customers car as he is away on holiday but does not wish the car to clock up nearly 500 miles round trip.I have agreed with him to bring the car down on our transporter to Power Engineering. As we have to be there at 8.30 on the 11th I will travel down on Friday and stay overnight this will not be a problem. I should just mention the cost involved as you are paying for all our expenses as stated in your invite and we appreciate this.We charge £1 per mile for the transporter, this would be £563.00 inc vat round trip and £150 for accommodation and meals this is a total of £713.00 half to be paid two weeks before and the balance on the 11th, I have not charged you for time involved and thank you once again for your invite.

anybody got a car trailer, save whoever agreed to pay the transportation costs £713! LOL!

What a joke.

My Dci is running 10bar boost and 600 horsepower. Everyone can see it on a rolling road, but i charge £850 an hour and youll have to pay for my 5* accomodation. Oh and i want a four week holiday as well.

Oh and if you can arrange Kylie to come with me for those 4 weeks the i might consider letting you see the car....

:ps

Quite, I would have thought that if they were genuine, they would be keen to quash the rumours that LAD tuning is an overpriced waste of money.

well after that email maybe they want to make sure it isnt a rumour

What a joke!

How do they expect to get business? With there being quite a few Clio owners on this site I would of thought this would have been quite a large market for business, had they bothered to put the effort in!! They havent so I suppose you can only assume that what they are offering is a bit of a joke, since they are not prepared to prove what they claim.

Surely there has to be some trading standard issues here??

How? None of us know what they do!!
Yeah but they claim 200bhp and they have no proof that that is the case. So surely they cant advertise something that they cant prove???

No i didnt.

All i know is i havent got 700 odd quid lying about. ahh well

A full tank holds about 360 miles I think and costs £40 approx therefore round trip about £50 = a hellof a lot cheaper than £700 - go anyway, I reckon its a bit of a copout on there part but it would be really useful to put this argument to rest once and for all and really see the proof of what their converison is all about?

i think we had better forget this one, begining to wish i hadnt done this

I just looked at their website and they are based 15mins away from my nans house..........they dont look like a big buisness and never will be if they cant do what the customer asks GIVE THEM PROOF THAT IT WORKS!!! Thats all we want. The very basics of selling!!

Just think of all the customers on here just waiting to give them cash. It would seem that they just dont want it........

Afterall, You wouldnt buy a washing machine if there was no proof that it could wash clothes!!!!!!!

Next time I go visit my nan I WILL go and see them, and hopefuly they WILL have a demo car for me to test drive.

Tom, send them the link to this thred.

Fookin hell!!!!!!!

What are they like, I got a car transported down there from Telford for only £200 odd, feck me..... and I defo didnt say anything about paying expenses.......

  ICE'dberg MK2 172

Should have called their bluff....and added that if it didnt make 200+BHP then they could pay for OUR travel exs and RR runs..;)

You would have thought they would jump at the chance of rubbing our noses in it and prove themselves tuning gods...:p

ok so heres the plan, if someone has a trailer trailer it down then another member can let him sleep at their house and cook him tea, all at no cost to them, see if he finds a way to squirm out of that, all this email has done is confirmed that they are very non commital about proving themselves. if he offset his"costs" against all the business he would get after a successful run on a RR then hed be quids in, muppet

What an arrogant so and so, Listen Ernie prove your 200 hp claim and you will make so much £. Untill then I really dont know how they can claim 200 hp if you cant prove it, is that legal?

tom get that phone out you know you want to, hehe. look at ian nixon with his monster twin engined gtturbo he used to drag that fecker all over the country to prove his point he even out did a lambo diablo on a 1/4 mile run and i dont seem to recall him charging people to turn up with it

Well, Powerzone is near me (and you) and the RR is not the best setup and has no computer hooked up to it, so no graphs.

But, RE at Bury would be a good idea...

Im sure trading standards will have a email/web site! Easier than phoning, just ask if its allowed to claim things with no proof and whether they have had complaints about the company in the past.

Why do we not hire a trailer for about £40 (my mate does it all the time) we tow the car down with a vehicle available to us and it will be say £50-£60 for fuel, so about £100 and thats a LOT cheaper!!!

See what Ernie says to that...

Or, we use a good rolling road in the NW so its not far to travel?!
