Request: Dash Screens

  1.6 Ford Focus
Right, well I am on a mission to convince me cousin that some Clios do have big screens in the dash and that some do have sat nav (im 90% sure). But he seams totally convinced that they don't...

Has anyone got any good clear pictures of the dash that has a full square sized colour screen?

I used the search and only found 1 picture that wasn't very clear.

Heres mine:

Although, the screen has since blown :( so now looks like this:

It's rare for a reason, it's s**t.

What else can it do other than sat nav?

It was optional on all Ph2 172s... and the only thing it's good for is connecting a PS2 up to it.

Hmm interesting...

Im after a new clio and will probably buy a Ph2 in a few months time, I was thinking of buying this dash top and fitting it with a tv or dvd player or something.

Its just a satnav, nothing else... Never heard that you can hook a PS2 up to it though lol. That would be interesting!

You could always buy mine lamborgini8 ;) mines up for sale in the next few weeks... ;)

Was a £1500 option. Its not much cop compared to todays satnavs but it does work. Bear in mind it is nearly 9 years out of date...

Tend to just use mine zoomed out along with my tomtom if i use it at all. Looks better than the poxy orange display in the 1.6 tbh.

Couldn't you retro fit a Tomtom or the like in the same place?

Pics?
Id love to see how they did all this and where they put the PS etc?
Sounds cool ;)

Mike@Rentech and Ady182 both did this in their cars. They bought the genuine dash top and retro fitted a VDO system. The 'computer' was in the boot along with a f**k off big sub, with a PS2 under the passenger seat linked into the car speakers. Was a spot on system, costing much less than the Renault option.
