Resistor question for airbag light

Just tried the resistor fix on the car, when i turn the engine off and on again, the light goes out for a few seconds and then comes back on again, any ideas why this is? Cheers in advance

I'm interested in this thread as I'm about to change my steering wheel over. Where can you get these resistor as all I seem was heating ones?

I got these resistors from maplin as these were the ones recommended in other threads, 3.3 ohm 24p each product code: m3r3

Great cheers mate! Does it plug in behind the steering wheel where the air bag wire is?

Which airbag are you doing it on.

The light is designed to come on with ignition, and if resistor is fitted correctly, should turn off a few seconds later
