What is a roof scoop if I might dare to show my ignorance??

Nick how about the Audi blue they use on the TT and A3 (not sure about the others)? I think that would look pretty smart on a 16v

gr, have a look at the roof on any wrc car. Instead of a sunroof they have something that looks a bit like a bonnet scoop that adds ventilation to the cockpit

Yeah thats the one. I dont like the sun on my head but like the airflow that you get in the summer with the sunroof just open a crack. So a roof scoop is ideal, ventilation when I need it, weighs a lot less than a sunroof and all the frame, mechanism, wiring etc, plus its made out of carbon fibre so I can admire the weave while driving along!

Well once you add up the cost of doing the complete roof skin and new liner the roof scoop is only a couple of hundred quid more. But I might not do it cos of the overall expense. Its costing me enough just to get the colour change done at the moment.
