Retaining steering column controls?

Just bought a JVC KD-AVX11. Is it possible to keep the stock 'remote' controls of a Mk2 Ph2 172 Cup?

If it is, what device to I need to allow me to still use them with this head unit?

Yeah he sorted me out with a cable for my alpine ipod head unit - it all works - the stalk and the display
