Retaining steering wheel controls and dash display

Apologies if this has been covered a thousand times before. I'm really missing an Aux input for my iPod after coming from my Cooper S, so I quite fancy one of thesehttp://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_771447_langId_-1_categoryId_165474Question is, will my remote volume controls and dashtop display still work with this, or can anyone recommend a head unit where they will? The link doesnt work, but depending on what make and model it is, it may have steering wheel controls built in..

The display wont work though

It's easy to do steering wheel controls but for some reason none of the currently for sale adaptors keep the display on the dash top working
I have an Alpine one that does, bought it from MT Audio over a year ago - but alpine stopped making it

Search for MT audio on here and drop him a pm he will sort you out with the right connectors etc to get the steering wheel controls working with it
