Return of the Renault:)

  SI-STI 2.35 & RC-172
Hello I have just purchased a Renault Clio yesterday and thought I would start a thread about my trip back into Renault's,as I use to own a R5GTT that I purchased standard and modified it,that car has been sold to a good friend many years ago now,and i am happy to say that it is still running and in one piece:up:.When I left Renault's I moved to the Subaru brand which I love and still am a owner of one,but I fancied another small Renault and as I have done the whole R5 journey already I decided on a Clio,Here's a few pictures of the Clio it was well dirty when I picked it up and still is Lol,but as I can detail cars to a high standard I could see its true potential{"The Gem Under all the muck"}as they say...

Well day two of the clean up started off pretty well,I managed to get the car jacked up and spruced up underneath, you would not believe how dirty it was under there XXX dirty:smile:lol.I managed to do my first mod, debadge the Renault Sport from the left side of the boot which I think makes the car look lest muddled at the back now:up:.
IMG-20160207-WA0001_zpslaoj5vl3.jpg

I was going to finish off the outside clean then move on to the interior when my son walked up to me casually and said "Dad I dropped on the floor and a piece of glass cut me"When I looked at his hand his finger was nearly hanging off:fearscream:,So detailing was closed up early for today, and a nice road trip to the local A&E so he could have his finger stitched up:mask:.

He is all smiles now though as he has to have 1 week off school for it to heal.I will try and get some more done on the Clio next weekend,Stay Tuned:cool:.SJ.

Hi again,Slowly making my way around the car before the proper modding commences:car:,purchased a new aerial as the one on my car was moss ridden and looking tired.
IMG-20160210-WA0000_zpspruk6xos.jpg

I also bought myself a motorsports steering wheel and Momo boss to replace the coach wheel in the Clio:tonguewink:.
IMG-20160210-WA0002_zps6p3ksrwn.jpg

I will be purchasing some bucket seats when funds allow,I have not decided which ones yet though, and I have also been thinking about a cage so will most probably get on the Group buy on here.Well that's all I have to report for now.Peace:cool:.SJ.

One more thing to add is that I ordered a lifeline QRB on the recommendation of a member here,it was a expensive and lovely piece of kit,but it only functions properly if you have the horn button on a stalk,as my horn push is on the steering wheel, and their is no way of fitting the horn push once the lifeline QRB is fitted or visa versa,Just a head's up for anyone in the market for one.(HORN ON STALK=YES:up: HORN ON STEERING WHEEL=NO:down:).SJ.
