Returning to standard numberplate

Not sure if this is the correct place to put this...

If I want to remove the terrible private plate that is on my car and return to the original, how do I go about that?

As far as I can find out it will cost £80, and I have no intention of putting the old plate on retention so no fees there.

Why not remove it and sell it to recoup your money ? If i remember right the £80 includes it goin on retention

It's BLZ 6444 - I think it would take a while to sell that!

You sure its a private plate. That's a run of the mill Northern Irish registration, Co Antrim I think from a few years ago (6-8 years I think).
