Rev counter not working

Still having problems with my rev counter, it did work grand originally when I wired the omex and itbs up.

Then on the rollers the tdc sensor gave up and I had to stick in a random renault sensor, started and ran it fine but no speedo.

I presumed because of the strange tdc sensor, so I got myself a tdc sensor from a 2.0 zetec redtop, the same as the ones that come supplied with the omex kits etc

Just wired it in and still not working, starts and runs fine so the connections must be fine.

Any ideas? Something in the mapping?

I should also say that it jumps into life at higher revs (only for a second) and then dies again. Confuddled

Really weird, works when Im giving it some beans. Could it be the sensor isn't clost enough to the flywheel?

Needs a resistor put inline between the omex loom and clio loom
