Reverse activates rear wiper ?

This morning i solved the mystery of what i thought was a random rear wiper fault, it turns out that when i select reverse the rear wiper comes on then goes off when i come out of it.
Ive never managed to link the 2 before lol.

Now is this common knowledge or a fault

Either way i like it but am thinking that when its icy it could be a PITA.

If your windscreen wipers are on then it does automatically.

Both, the fault part being you cant leave your wipers in the rain sensative position as everytime you revers the rear wiper comes on(regarless of rain or not)

So if the wipers are on Auto then it will wipe the rear window when selecting reverse ?

Remove the rear wiper then?

Obviously if it couldn't be turned off (which it looks like it can) i would but needed to find out 1st.

Its quite a good thing imo, even my Porsche don't do it and that was over 80k new lol.
