Reviving the seatbelt clips...

Car  Ex 182 owner
Found plenty of posts on the belts themselves and did a great job using the crock clips/washing liquid in a bucket method.

however any advice on restoring some colour to the red push to release part of the clips? Is it the same stuff as the grill/scuttle restorers?

cheers
chris

Seeing as you're touching it a lot I'd say the only thing with a chance of restoring it is a semi-permanent sealant such as Gtechniq C4 / similar.

Being red, its likely to be permanently faded, but something like C4 may make it a little darker.

To be fair I have tried C4 on the red belt button but cant say it done very much. I wonder if you can replace just the red part, if so surely cheap

Unfortunately Chris being red plastic there is only so much a semi permanent or permanent trim restore will do.

Often its just a case of replacing that part thats faded :(

Thanks for the replies all,
looks like a lump it or buy full new ones. Bloody Red(white).

This has always bugged me on every car I've had! Sadly it is a new part jobby.
