Revs hunting / Car cutting out - Possible solution

  CLS320 with a D6
Thought I should share what I have done to fix my problem. I, like some fellow CSers, have had trouble with the revs hunting and the car cutting out randomly and intermittently. After a rather embarrassing cut out in the middle of [THE TOWN] after much rev hunting whilst I was personally hunting for some lunch, I found the alternator positive lead had come off completely from its crimp.

After a recrimping and a sprinkle of virgin tears, the car is right as rain.

Hopefully this may help someone, as I had never looked down there before when investigating this issue.
