Had a go at panning today trying to get the car in focus my backround out, i dont think there that bad for my first time.

Was an awesome day, Top weather after the rain lol

Our car finishd first overall in FWD :)

Try using a quicker shutter speed until you get the hang of it

Looks like a fun day out. With regards to the pics, ^what he said. A lot of the panning ones are out of focus, a quicker shutter will help you get a sharper image. You just have to find a good balance to capture the motion. 1/40 is really slow, you should have been able to get a decent shot at 1/125 at 55mm. A longer tele lens will also help you, it is easier to get nice results panning at 200mm than it is at 55mm.

Some of the images seem to have lost a lot of detail, is that from photobucket or post processing?

Some good shots there and agree with everyone else . I suffer with the same for my panning shots and need to develop the confidence to play around with shutter speeds and manual focus.

In the background of the pics of the truck, it looks kinda cartoony :eek: nice shots
