Ridiculas Renault Service Charges!!

I need a bit of work done on my car so rang round a few garages first then thought I would compare it to Renault and was shocked when they quoted me what they did, sure its gonna be more expensive, but I used to have a ford and Rapid Fit are virtually half price in comparison!

Work need doing

(Cheapest Garage I have found incl labour):

O/S/R Coil Spring: £45
N/S Gaitor/CV clip: £5.00
Minor Service: £60
Total: £110

Renault:

O/S/R Coil Spring: £88.25 + Parts cost
N/S Gaitor/CV Clip: £44.00 + Parts cost
Bronze Service: £99.99

Total: £232.24 (PLUS PARTS!!)

I can't see why Renault charge soo much?

Bigger overheads etc, take it to a specialist.

I don't think so.... Try PM'ing Fred as he is Solihull IIRC and knows his stuff about Clio's and would probably do you a good deal and you'd know your car is in trusted hands

Specialists are all well and good but for the work that you need doing, it's hardly worth it.

Just find a good local garage. Garages like this work on word of mouth so generally, the busy they are, the better they are
