... ive been looking at head units for ages now, but next week im deffinately getting one. Ive got up to £400 to spend (but would prefer cheaper).

Whats available? was thinking of the Sony 9900 TFT one but unsure now. I like my head units to look nice, and to sound nice.

Id go pioneer mate, some quality units at just under the 400 mark. Always good quality and the auto eq function is top.

Ive got a 2001 (i think) Pioneer P99 unit, has been the dogs balls for quality and features. mega adjustable for sound aswell

not got a very good rep dude! pioneer or alpine are the way to go, but alpine is ugly IMO!

what features do you want? removable face? MP3? what else you running? no point spending that money on a head unit to run 4 speakers, you wont really be able to tell the difference between a £400 unit and a £200 unit running speakers, amps are a different matter.
