Road Surface Conditions...

Obviously since i got lowered i have noticed the bad road surfaces more, but lately i seem to be constantly avoiding pot holes, sunken drains, raised drains etc.

Its sometimes feels like im playing a computer game weaving in and out obsticles and dodging things! Takes the enjoyment out of driving

Ive heard the council dont want to know if you damage a tire or a wheel either.

Has any one else noticed they are getting worse or is it just me?

Yeah my area is poo.

If you see any real bad ones youre supposed to take photos and ask local residents if theyve suffered any problems so then if you ever think that pothole is a reason for any damage to your car you can prove it and get damages.

The council will pay up if you damage a wheel in a pothole, but you need evidence. Some people in Telford took pictures of the roads here last winter - one guy got his bill paid for his alloy refurb, and the roads got fixed. Result!

My mate fell off of his Aprillia on my street, potholes everywhere - he told the council, but they didnt want to know - two weeks later, the roads were being re-tarmacd - didnt pay for his fairing or a new helmet tho!

Speed bumps are a nightmare where I live. Those stupid junction type things where you have to sort of give way at everyone.

anyone see Roads from hell ? I think it was Edinburgh that has the worst roads in britain

You want to see where I live. Both Jilly and Daz can confirm the sheer amount of speed bumps. example - my house to the local takaway - 26 and it is less that 1.5 miles away. and thats just one way

I spent the summer in edinburgh and the roads there were easily the worst Ive ever driven on.
