Roasting temp......cold day

My temp gauge has been displaying the temp at 59degress when outside theres been snow covering my car. Just wondering if this is a fault temp gauge or is it to do with the fact i have a new cd player which replaced the original radio, someone told me this can often affect the electrics???

also my central locking button in the car is not working not even lighting up, could this just be a fault fuse??

the temperature dial is not connected to the radio wiring on clios older than 06 when the new one was brought out,dunno about the new one.c/l might be just a fuse check it then check fob battery

If it all happened at the same time, it sounds like someone has pulled a plug or two apart, who installed your new radio. ?

me...i checked all the plugs were together etc but ill have to have another look.......really p****s me off tho, little things like this can ruin your whole opinion on your car
