Roller Barrel Throttle Bodies

The ultimate ITB setup apparently.

Will these

fit on the Jenvey manifold

Are roller barrels worth the extra cost over butterfly valves. I understand the concept that there is no restriction at full throttle but what would that equate to in real terms?

Is the Lumenition kit any good?

lumenition suck

ring simon at jenvey and he'll expalin the difference and which is best

Jenvey dont do roller barrels though.

Why do Lumenition suck?

R300 400 and 500 Caterhams use them. Cosworth do roller barrels for the duratrec engine. I assume they work and maybe due to the extra cost are not widely used?

i guess you need to find out the measurements of the holes that attached the body to the inlet mani.

Or get an inlet mani supplied undrilled and do it yourself.

mini-valver

Jenvey inlets are generally s**t though and need mahining to get a decent finish so the cost you'll spend on DTH bodies will be more or less spent on the manifold+work anyway!

i debate that stongly mini-valver! i'll let you have a look at one of our V6 manifolds (made by Jenvey for us)

dave walker from emerald reckoned (i know its not renault ) a 2.3 duratec makes the same power on dcoe type bodies as roller barrels even though there almost twice the price and u loose the loud bark becasuse u cant run them filterless or they start to stick i didnt belive at first but i dont disagree if he can design an ecu and maps alsorts everyday thats goodenough for me ( do look th nuts though)
