Hoping someone can help give a rough idea what this damage may cost to repair.

Some arsehole clearly banged right into the corner of the car cracking the bumper and creasing the wing, Light etc seem undamaged.

Anyone able to give a rough guesstimate?
gally or any others in the trade.

Cheers
Andy.

Why not take it to body shops for estimates? I don't suppose gally's garage, 400 miles away is going to be much use?

Was just hoping to get a rough idea, I live in a small twin with no real reputable body shops nearby, Closest will be 30+ miles, Thought if ask before my parents go taking it somewhere and get completely ripped off, Dad has around £500 in his head.

Depends if they replace the wing. Repairing the wing/bumper could be £500 +vat, maybe more maybe less. I've no idea what some charge down south.

Replacing the wing? Well you don't want to go there.

The biggest annoyance is it was done at her work so either by a member of her staff or someone visiting the home.... No way judging by the impact that they didn't know they'd hit it.

That's my fear Gally.... The wing isn't too bad so hoping that could be tapped back to shape otherwise like you say it could get very costly.

Bumper could hopefully just be blended in and not needing a full re spray I'd have thought?

The first question with any repair.......is do i want back "as it left the factory"......or can i live with filler, lacquer blends (tisk tisk) etc etc.......

They are not overly fussy aslong as it's decent.... Clearly don't want to see obvious blend lines etc.

You shouldn't really have lacquer blends these days, 100% not on the wing anyway and the bumper you don't really want half painted. The bodyshop are not only taking a risk of polish back etc and keying issues they aren't really saving time.

Yes lacquer blends are smart repair teritory and really should only be done on 1/4's etc, and in a narrow gap, where you cannot remove the panel, to be fair though if the fade is done well, and the correct blend out thinner sprayed over the edge, you cant see it at all and the polishing is like 10 seconds. Keying properly on the very edge is always the risk, i agree.

Just depends if the OP wants a cheaper job....or the proper job.....the wing looks saveable, aslong as it hasnt touched the arch line you *should* be able to get that looking spot on with only a little skim. (But its tricky to tell from the pictures as to how far its actually bent).
