Yeah he mentioned he works with sports cars - does it look a good example to you? Any idea on what spec that would have (Xenons etc)
The no xenons would bother me a little, the rest wouldn't.

Same. Lol.The no xenons would bother me a little, the rest wouldn't.
Same. Lol.
The non-xenon lights look crap.
The black surround ones?I upgraded my old ones to the R26R ones, infinitely better.

They are a lot more highly strung that the Mk2 RS' but I love that. Just not as a daily.
I have a cheap daily driver alongside the 200, mainly so I could make it a bit more track/fast road-friendly. Using buckets every day would do my head in.
Re the cold map, I don't think so. Mine's the same, I just make sure to change early and baby it for the first few miles.
Non-xenon units are silver/chrome whereas the xenons are darker/have black surrounds and a projector unit. How can you tell from the pics hehe? Xenons are nice, but its not a dealbreaker for me.
Insurance Groups :
Clio 200 : 31
R26 :35
That maybe has put a dampener on things! :weary:
Just out intrest mate what group is a 172cup,182 etc please?
Completely ignore insurance groups.
I'm sure my M3 is a higher insurance group than my 225 was. Except I'm paying £150 a year less to insure it
Having gone from the 250 cup to the 200 cup myself.
As I say to people; the Megane, is undoubtedly a nicer, more refined car, it's better at cruising, it's better on commutes, it's better for just general driving, it's already got that 'wide boy' stance which gives it road presence, and the turbo helps with lazy overtakes, and it gets better MPG. (If you can't tell, I do occasionally miss mine!)
Also for some reason the electronic throttle has better response than the 200.
The Clio; is raw, more connected, turning more responsive, I feel in control at all times when I'm driving on the edge (the Megane tends to snap a bit with the LSD and turbo), and is undoubtedly better on the back roads than the Megane. Unlike the Megane the difference I feel in the car from tottering along to when I get on the throttle and go hard is apparent, the Megane is a little wishy washy going from tottering to hard and you can end up doing it accidentally.
A massive plus for me is the Clio's parts are half the cost in terms of brakes and tires, so bear that in mind as well (although I did have the 19'' on my Meg).
I read that R26 parts are the same price as Clios - or do you mean for the 250?
The no xenons would bother me a little, the rest wouldn't.
Lol @Gaz_ - that doesn't even look like the same car compared to the beginning of this thread! It will be fine, but if your 200 is cupped i think you'll miss the pointyness if you don't go cupped on the meg, coupled to the fact it will be an arse to sell on
Mine had a full decontamination yesterday ready for a paint correction. Got one side done, then it pissed it down for the rest of the day
You straight swapped?? Lovely Meg but I think he got a slightly better deal (value wise) - but saves the hassle of selling I suppose!
