Yes another, i know. But i love having little projects, they keep me from getting bored

Sourced most of the outer parts now, mostly from the kind people off here, and started spraying the first peices today.

Using an air compressor and grav gun from Aldi £15 Always prefer giving it a crack myself before i admit defeat and take it to a body shop.

Pretty impressed with the result though.

Il keep this thread updated as i go along and hopefully start attending some meets

Recently Fitted some Eibach Sportlines and a polish

The Spraying started Today

I know the lacquer on the wing needs another coat and flatting down then a good polish with a rotary but other than that im impressed.

Other than a bloody fly landing in my fresh paintwork and nearly making me cry.

Yeah it is low for them i think haha i have alot of extra weight in the back though with the audio install.

UPDATE

Unhappy with the previous lacquer so wet sanded off and went to speak to local body shop.

Came back with some 2k lacquer, thinner and hardener.

50/50 lacquer and thinners, then 20% hardener.

Impressed with the results.

I dont know when fitting it yet as i dont know wether to put it on and then do the same to the handles and side strips or do them all and fit it at once.

Also im guessing il need some spacers, something to fill the washer jet holes, and i want some different wheels.

£50 front bumper, needed repair

£65 back bumper

£95 skirts, could of waited and got cheaper but was impaitent

£50 for both wings, ebay

I dont really know. I like Team Dynamic 1.2's in gloss black, Dunno what theyd look like on flame. But maybe just some 172 ones in anthra.

Just have to be rid of the 15's

Little Update:

Put the rear bumper on today. Not quite happy.

The lacquer is very slighty different, not as smooth, tried cutting compound and a rotary made a little difference.

Tested a small patch with flatting paper and the cutting compound and that did the job.
So tomorrow an early start to flat down the whole rear bumper and cutting compound it up. Expecting a long, boring and most likely painful start to my sunday.

looking good mate good to see a flamer rep
use either 1500 or 2000 wet adn dry to flat it back and then use quite a course compound to start like G3 (or the newer G6 version) and then change the head on the mop for a waffle pa and go for a glaze and your away
im a painter by trade so just gimme a PM if you need any help

Could do with some Farecla stuff but atm the hallfrauds stuff i already had is working but if i run out il get some of the g3=]

farecla do some great stuff

also is the lacquer u used called Impa?
we use impa primers at work and they're bloody brilliant for a cheap primer!

Todays Work.

Flatted and fitted rear bumper.

Can See in the pictures the part i have polished up.

Also Colour coded the bump strips this weekend.

Little update.

Got xenon washers to fill the holes £25.42.
Someone should look at making replica cup blanks.

Ordered the spacers this morning.

So hopefully everthing will be going on at the weekend

Update:

Fitted the wings and bumper today really pleased with reulsts. car needs a clean though.

Fitting skirts tomorrow morning. hopefully. then uptown at night to celebrate haha.
