RS Tuner - Different Version

I understand there are two different RS Tuner versions. There is the old version and the newer version.

I was looking at getting the overrun(pop & bangs) remap for mine however i'm confused as to exactly what RS Tuner I need(looking at buying 2nd hand).

If I buy the newer version will that work with overrun or does it need to be a particular firmware version?

You'll ned the newer version. FW should be 1.85. Your car needs to be decatted aswell.

Yeah what Mr Pink said. Old versions can't do the popsn bangs map so you want one with firmware with a higher number than 1.85. And to have unburnt fuel combusting in your tail pipe (pops and bangs) you can't have a catalytic converter for obvious reasons so a stainless steel decat is the way to go.

plug it into your comp, start the software, click on "about", says in there.
