There are loads of threads on alarm problems on 172s/182s and other Clios but I have an intermittent problem with my 2007 RS197: -
My alarm seems to randomly trigger and I get 4 beeps (I think) when I unlock and open the drivers door. I say this is random but it does seem to happen more when the temperature drops below freezing...
My car is in for a service in a few weeks so I will mention it then but is there anything obvious that I can check beforehand? For now I have locked the car with ultrasonics disabled (...I think).
The car is parked on the drive and my neighbours are quickly going to lose patience with me and my car. This will not be good if my car is ever genuinely alarming in the middle of the night. :dapprove:
I had a car stolen 3 years ago...and I'd hate for it to happen again because the neighbours ignored the siren (if they could even hear the bloody thing!!).
