It does say £695 for the Core kit.

The Air filter is £45 extra

No price on the Coil pack mount AFAIK, But i dont see that being more then £25.

Mapping can be had for £200 if you don't pick one of the Specialists. and again, You dont have to have timing redone, but its worth while.

  Mazda3 2.2D 185BHP
Filter kit (main filter, piping and crank case filter) - £55.00
Coilpack mounting kit - £40.00
Core RS2 kit - £695.00
Where are you getting these numbers from?
I have an email from them saying £45 for Airfilter kit.

Overall the package seems like it'll deliver a very nice power curve with a realistic increase in bhp etc.. If you wanna go harder it'll involve turbos..

Extracting extra ponys from a N/A is never cheap, easy or done in one single step, that's just a 18 yr olds dream..

Even though I paid the old full price £1150, I don't feel ripped off as the quality is awesome, I'm glad I brought it and would snap up this if I hadn't.

Think I'll be running standard cams GrpN timing and my ITG maxogen

That looks awesome, can see someone spent a lot of time researching and developing the kit from scratch, proving it and getting it to market.. It just oozes quality...

Some things the new kit by that guy has done nothing at all so far... xD
Sorry, But i cant understand this sentence.

Can you elaborate? I think you have said that" the new kit by the other guy has done none of that so far... XD"

Told you these were massively massively overpriced originally and could easily have been done for this kind of money ;-)
Last time i checked, the aim of a business was to make profit.
If JMS did that from selling "overpriced" RS2's, i'm sure they'd still be going
hehe.gif

With that in mind, i'm sure they were the correct price at the time, considering the cost to develop etc.

No they were expensive.
I'm not getting into the reasonings of a business with you as there's no point. As you say, there to make a profit. Although some are there purely for the enjoyment, passion and enthusiasm, but I guess these are lost on you....

They are yes, i work in finance. I do it to make money.
Charity wise, i donate to Cancer Research, although i did once donate to JMS. The money they made would suggest they also did it for "passion" and "enjoyment", although as you've probably noticed from the number of "Renault Specialists" that come & go on this place, that only goes so far, and as Mike says, doesn't pay the mortgage. As a complete aside, I know exactly how much money there was in each unit, to the penny, & its not something i would have bothered doing.

Budgie. Never heard of already wealthy people setting up businesses in their hobbies as a sideline, whether they make profit or not. Some are even used for tax purposes.

Of course, most race teams are lol. The quickest way to become a rich man is to start as a very rich man and go racing ...
But JMS wasnt one of those. And i would bet that none of the "specialists" on CS that have come & gone were either.
Ironically, the one that charges the most, & is by far the most successful as a company, financially anyway, is Ktec.

It's a Renault clio mate just accept it . Those rs2s are lovely and all ,and we know they where/are still expensive . It's fine .
It's a Renault man .
And cry why would you do that sugar plumb
?

I have a 172-1 with 182 inlet and outlet manifolds, ktec stealth exhaust, ktec sports cat, espace v6 airbox and the rs tuner 98 mapping.

Do you think this rs2 inlet will still give me a big increase in bhp from this point?

Have you read anything about the RS2?

Yes I have, and I still have a question about it:

Do you think it will give me a significant increase in bhp (and feel) from the tweaks i have already done to the engine?

Is that a silly question?!?

Anyone actually have one of these yet?
Do you mean the new one (which, by all accounts is identical to the original version), or do you mean an RS2 in general? If the latter, plenty of forum users still have or have had one, myself included.

Sorry, i meant the new one
I thought you probably did but wasn't sure.

I've not heard of anyone taking delivery yet but I can't imagine it will be long. I know @Panda. has his Panda-like ear close to the ground - have you seen any posts from anyone receiving a 'new' RS2 fella?

Definitely considering one of these! Any ideas on the difference in cost for the extra kit yet?
I like the fact it's using the original loom and ecu and the carbon looks great!
If I move my battery I could possibly retain my carbon airbox?
