I made sure I bought a low miler because I wanted to make sure the mechanics of the car were straight and true. But sadly, two weeks after picking it up from a non-renault garage, I am starting to have issues with the gearbox.
I got in touch with the garage, to explain what has happened. And sadly they can't do anything with it unless it physically can't get into gear. The garage explained in detail why they can't, and suggested a few things I could do to get it sorted. It is better to get told to do one, or get laughed at... so I am thankful that they explained it, so I am not gonna grumble with them.
He has told me that if I get in touch with Renault, explain the problem, they must, or will, honour the problem and sort it, or will drop me 70% discount. Given the year and mileage, he says Renault will have to.
Before I phone them up, is there anything anybody has done with this problem? it's grinding whilst I de-accelerate, not much but you can hear it if your on smooth road with the windows down, and it will crunch gears if you are enthusiastically driving it, obviously now after finding this out, I haven't driven it hard whatsoever. I didn't think the way I drove it would cause an issue like this anyway but sadly it has
Any help will be appreciated.
It is a 2010 RS200, as said with 16k on the clock with full specialist/ renault history.
(^^ I haven't posted that up to hint at selling... just incase people think I am trying to break the rules, I've simply put those up to give as much info on the car I can)
Thanks
John.
