RSI Engine Bay

I would like to spruse up the old engine bay, ive got a green cotton induction kit which has a green and chrome cone. So i thought thats a decent colour scheme so im going to be getting a strut brace painted in green however i would like some chrom bits.

I know that the header tank can be chromed and the same with the a battery cover. Now ive seen people sanding and polishing their rocker covers / inlets and im wondering whats involved?

Hi Mate

Its a bit messy but not too difficult, remove the rocker cover, strip the paint using nitromorse which you can get from any DIY Shop, make sure that you wash the header cover in hot soapy water & dry it thoroughly before you replace it and then machiene polish till you get a great shine, although i havnt done mine yet it is on the list this year, heres a pic of my engine bay as it stands at the moment, if you need any more help just shout.

Basically it's all about sanding and polishing the f**k out it lol

If you want chrome engine bits, K-Tec and Hillpower have some good parts

The bigger the better i say!!!! you know the mechanics behind it...... More air = More Fuel = Go faster............. My motor now does 18mpg

They are manufactured by Green Cotton Air Filter Company and the two of them cost me about £80.00

There is another close up picture in the Cliosport COTY 2005 section, won best in class!!!
