RSTuner 172

Is it worth me getting a RSTuner for my 172 with KTR Pannel filter Miltec Exhaust and De cat?

I have heard you can get different programs for it, like overrev pops and bang which would be a fun one to have but for a performance map will it be worth it?

Hi mate,

I have a full SS system with ITG panel filter and some sort of remap. My car revs to 7500 which I believe is a RSTuner std map. It's only 250RPM more but it gives you an extra second of poweR!

I believe the gains in power are minimal it's more how the car drives low down.

I came from a MG ZS 180 that had a 2.5V6 and the Clio pulls just as well at lower speeds at low revs.

I want it because its so easy to change maps say if i wanted to go long distance i can program the eco maps then pops and bangs map then when few up just the power maps theres a few other i think, just want to know as well if you have to pay for the separate maps as well?

Yep RStuner costs circa £130 second hand

Unlock code around £52

And individual maps Ron 98 about £28 and overun map about £40

Only 2 maps to my knowledge unless you get a custom one written

Im thinking brand new, unless some one is willing to sell. Not much in it really and i take it Ron 98 is the performance map for 98 fuel?

I use 99 will i be able to map it to that?

172/182's are very hard to extract more bhp from without spending a few thousand quid.

Your telling me! Over 1100 for throttle over 3K for a turbo, ouch!
