Rubber mount - exhaust - 172

[Munchkin]

Anybody recommend an aftermarket rear rubber mount for the exhaust - the renault effort clearly isn't up to the job?

I've got the Ktec twin pipe and it is fairly weighty. I've read the reports about it already on here but I think that if I can lay my hands on a decent rubber tomorrow then I can sort it no problems - Halfords?!?

I've got the mk2 ph1 172 by the way

try a ford one cant remember which modle. pop down to quick s**t n get on ull see which one i mean. wit will force into the square and held in by a few cable ties it works a treat

had same prob used one from halfords £2

the standard Renault mount was fine when i had the K-Tec twin 3.

now i have a pro-speed exhaust, Charlie has crafted his own mounting system, which is solid as a rock :approve:

cut out the old and zip-tie in the new, jobs a good 'un.

the original mount was collapsed (in the pic the exhaust is jacked up) and the bracket was virtually resting on the bottom!

looks exactly like mine mate. the original X shape one isnt upto much.

think ill have to do something similar to mine as there is far too much movement in it at the mo....

mine is getting a bit dodgy.....

mine was pretty much sitting on the bottom of the hangar!!
