rumbling

My clio has a loud rumblinging/ grinding noise when i go over 20mph but it stops when i go left but gets slightly worse when i turn right?
Been told it might be CV joints.

Also someone said i have to get the steering rack modified so it don't snap :S is this true?

my steering rack is always snapping, gets annoying after a while, and the windscrean fell out the other day, counting down the days untill the engine makes a break for freedom,

what do you mean by stapping? noise? or physical breakage?!

cool ill have a look into it but the cars got 12 months MOT and i thought something that bad would of been picked up?
