Running very rough

On my way to work this morning, I rolled up to some traffic lights and thought "it's running a bit rough this morning" - shaking violently at the lights.

I pulled away and it had no power at all, sounded like a subaru (missfiring) and the mpg has taken a dive.

There are no lights on the dash and it has continued to do this even after turning it on and off a few times.

Any idea what's up? Should I get the RAC out to tow it home?

It's RS tuned and running on VPower.

check your plug leads - thats what mine turned out to be....

if not them - check your plugs, if not them - its your coil pack!!....

I went wrong way round and got Coil pack first - then plugs - then leads!!!.... and it was leads!!... b*gger!!..

mine did the same and was corroded ht leads and plugs

Try one or more of the Injectors. See a thread in here by me. We've just got to the bottom of what was causing my girlfriends similar problems.
