S/S Exhaust Manifold

How come i have never seen a clio wtih one of these?

with most cars when u buy an aftermarket 'full system' youd get the manifold too. but not with teh RS cars?

hmmm. strange as well know theres 10bhp to be had from a decent exhaust!

the stock manifold is good on 172's so its not needed. iirc its stainless anyway.

i probably have the wrong end of the stick, but aren't there issues with an alloy block and stainless manifold expanding and cooling at different rates?

Correct.

The std 182 4-2-1 layout is actually very efficient too.
Think k-tec do a 4-2-1 aswell...

172 manifold is stainless anyway, so the 182 one I'm told... will be sticking with my 172 one as it's stainless I see no point replacing it, deffo upto the job

most people that change the manifold just go for a 182 one as there isnt much to improve on with that design.

if you look at how they are, you will see they are both excellent. 182 for more midrange, 172 for max top end poke.

equal length header pipes i believe.
