Samco hoses leaking

Car  Clio 182 w/Cup pack
Hi All,

I've been running the Samco silicone hoses for a few months now, and from day 1 there was a leakage at the joint between the hose and the plastic spigot outlet of the water pump.

I've managed to contain the leak as much as possible by tightening the clamp even more, but I do not want to overdo it. It seems that the silicone hose fitment is not as water-tight as it should be!

I was wondering if anyone else in the group has experienced the same, and what is the best solution?

Cheers

I dont use a Samco anywhere but on air inlet .Why don't you try wrapping the pump outlet with PTFE tape before fitting the hose? NB never tried this myself.

Yeah...i did think about this; i just wanted a second opinion and some feedback from the group before i dismantled the cooling system.
