samco induction hose for mk1 172?

Car  V6 Exige, GTR R35
Can anyone tell me where or if i can find a samco induction hose for a mk1 172?

Have tried to email k-tec but as per normal they dont answer emails. working offshore at the moment so not possible to call them.

Is it possible to use a 90 degree elbow? and if so what size?

any help would be great

cheers!

^ k-tec get over 200e-mails a day mate, i'd be patient. Hill power do a 90o bend with breather. Contact Nick.

You can just use a 70mm bore 90 degree bend. The airbox end is 70mm and the throttle body is 73mm but a 70mm hose will just fit.
£19.04 delivered from Team Think without the breather inlet.

Thought about this on my 172 but what happens to the breather pipe if you cant connect it to the new elbow? Will it effect performance if not connected?

no, just with spit oil, ull hav to make a catch tank, it will give u a lil bit of performance

It won't really spit oil to be honest, more like venting the oily gasses. I have just run a metre of hose under the car so it exits behind the back subframe mount onto the road. And as Ben said, a little more performance (theoretically) as there is more room in the inlet for o2.

LOL, "Very little" Performance gain, but yeh the theory's there. Thing is Dad's got a classic car and if you keep the car in a garage it will STINK as the fumes vent.
