Samsung SlimFit CRT HD, Any Good?

Friend of mine has about £400 to spend on a new TV.

After reading reviews and peoples coments on teh AVforums the Samsung WS32Z429 seems to be a very good buy.

Anybody got an opinions, help?

nah it's slim enough and does 720p and it's got great clarity. it's really good, some people don't need it slim and to be honest, if i had to have a thicker ldc for better pic quality i would.

He has no desire for a thin TV what-so-ever which is why i think this might be a good buy for him.

David, some of the previous models to the one mentioned have had geometry problems. Do you know if your mate has had any problems with his?
