Every1s launch is different, a balance between Clutch and throttle obviously. 1500RPM or about that...You want zero wheelspin, but enough clutch slip so not to lose revs!

Then again saying it is one thing, when ur sitting there ur feet tend to get very heavy!

What car did you do the 11.226 in?

I suspect a massive persentage of it is technique rather than car pace, although that obviosly helps.

You want to be starting at around 3.5k in a Cup and work on it from there.

Dont forget as well on a normal RWYB day you are not racing against each other, the lights go green but the time doesnt actually start counting till you leave the line so dont worry too much about getting off hte line quicker than your opposition go when you are ready.

Dont worry too much about wheelspin dude, the sticky sh*t they lay down helps!
iv tried different techniques etc but i cant get better than my first go! i cant remember what i did on that run! lol

If they lay down the stuff they have been this summer at the Pod, you wont find wheelspin a problem. If you were running a paddle clutch youd basically just experiment to find the revs at which you could dump the clutch and get the tyres to bite. On a normal clutch youll have to be a bit less harsh. Best bet is to get down your local industrial estate in the dead of night and practice...it can get quite complicated but essentially if you get off the mark with a little chirp from the tyres thats perfect. Any less revs and youll bog down - in other words your hook-up with the road is too much for the power your car is putting down, revs will drop and you will be well out of the power band. On the other hand if you launch with too many revs, you will wheelspin, which is wasted power. Its getting the balance that is the tricky bit. That advice from no1girlracer is spot on though, dont try and race anyone, unless you want to. Just sit at the line until your ready to go, theres no time penalty at all, you are timed from when you start moving.

Where did you get the 11secs ?
Edzell RAF Base (near Aberdeen) Did 2 runs at Crail, but it was far to bumpy and we cold seized it on the 2nd run!

I did 10 Runs. went up there with a group of LCRs. one other cup as well,

My first run was my fastest 15.312 at 91.72 across the line. I seemed to hit 15.3s all day no matter what rpms I started at. Is this a good time? the car is completely standard, nothing taken out.

My mates LCR was getting slightly faster times but I was crossing the line at a higher speed, my conclusion to this is that the cup does accelerate quicker but the LCRs traction made it quicker off the line. once I had traction I was accelerating faster.

Some good news was my first run I beat CTR.
