SatNav for Xmas - Help Please

All,

I am getting my sister a sat-nav unit for christmas.

My intentions are to get her the same one that fred has - as its blooming great - a Tom Tom 510 which are about £250.

Are there any better on the market for the same money?

She will want a seperate unit rather than an add on to a phone etc.

I want something that will give her petrol stations / cash points / etc...

Only go for TomTom, id avoid the rest of them.

TomTom One which is the new smaller one, the cheapest of them all will do what you want easily.

It comes in a UK & Europe versions. About £170 or £200

TomTom 510 is excellent, as you know. Just make sure it has the most recent map.

Ju and I have a TT510 and it has never and I genuinely mean never let us down. Not the same can be said of NavMans and so forth that other colleagues use.

On our way to Le Mans last year the Mondeo had a dodgy fuel gauge, and suddenly went from 1/5 left to little or nothing. In the torrential rain and only using Tom Tom it guided us to the nearest petrol station and gave us the phone number to check it was open.

My advice? Go with what you know matey.
