Saving my BG182

So I've decided to turn this into a project thread as work is carried out. The car was abit of a mess to be honest when I got it but it's starting to get in good shape now, this is carrying in from my thread in the media section so I've copied it over so far.

So some of you guys may remember either me or my old ph1 172

Spent a lot of time, effort and money getting it to where I wanted it to be then I sold it for this.

Which I sold for this

Then i sold that to buy this

I decided to take a step back from spending a fair amount on cars until I get the house furnished as I want it to be. So I came back to a Clio.

I purchased this BG 182 with cup packs, so far I've fitted a splitter sorted the exhaust mounts out given it a full service including new plugs. Given the paint a much needed polish and wax although I will be machine polishing it to get it to a stage I'm happy with.

Thought I had more pics of it but obviously not! The engine bay is being worked on as it's never really been cleaned to well by looks of it, the cover im spraying at the moment. Lots to do but it would be boring if I had nothing to do!

Got round to finishing the engine cover today, looks good for a spray can job. Also painted the engine hoist points as they looked tarnished and oxidised. Next is to paint the inlet and fuel rail guard.

After sorting the engine cover I decided to paint the grills and fog surrounds as they looked shocking, the new splitter is on aswell.

Looks a lot cleaner.

Also got under the rear adjusted the exhaust some more and gave it a good clean with some autosol.

Got a few of the car aswell, it's starting to look a lot better in general. I don't think it's ever seen polish or wax in it's life before judging on how dirty and flat the paint looked originally. I'm getting some pads and polish soon to do a correction detail and also refurb the hazy head lights.
