Scraping noise from front offside on full(ish) right lock

  RenaultSport clio 172 mk2
Any idea what a metallic slightly "scraping" like sound might be when turning right at low speed - its on a completely standard Mark 2 172. Not quite a rubbing sound; but at the same time not a heavy knocking sound as if a suspension joint had failed (just got its MOT last week and so if a joint had been suspect I wouild have hoped it would have been picked up then). Car's 4 years old and done approximately 20,000 miles.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Check under the bonet on full lcok that the strut tops arn't touching the bodywork they usualy do. The fix by Renault is to grind some of the body away the other fix aftermarket is to get sme washer to lift the top moutn away from the bodyshell more.
