Scrote broke my Clio :(

Someone drove into my black mk1 172 today on a roundabout, gutted

WIll need a new front passenger wing and wheel, is this going to be an expensive job? Insurance will be paying (his when the little scrote accepts liability for it, blatently his fault) but just curious

also will it be hard to get a colour match on the new wing so it doesnt look out of place?

in my experience the paint never matches, not so much colour but texture and paint quality, it depends how anal you are, ps sorry to hear this

some bodyshops are better than others, but you will never get the same finish as the factory finish coz of the machines that paint your cars paint differently to hand sprays

the wing you have sprayed will probably look better than the rest of the car as renaults paint jobs out of the factory are sh*te

I had my old car keyed down to the primer along the bonnet and all the way down one side to the rear qurter, my dads mate managed to get rid of it without doing the whole of all the panels and you would never know, even looking hard, I was amazed, its who you get to do it I guess.

Well he is denying liability (he looked 12), but tbh he has no argument at all.

To give him credit he didnt budge on his not admiting it no matter how much I tired, the other half even had a go.

He was an idiot and I cant see how they can see its not his fault tbh. He drove right into me lol, his Cuore isnt even damaged.

You will get a good match because theyll blend the paintwork, I had a entire new front end on my fiesta and couldnt spot the difference in colour, the only obvious difference is the colour isnt flat like new, its got a mottled kind of appearence to it.

You wont notice it MB, i had my whole rear quarter sprayed on the Hybrid and you cannot tell the difference.

Well apart from when its clean the rear quarter looks fresher because the rest has faded a little over 11 yrs, but other then that its perfect. Then again i did pay £320 to get the rust sorted so expected a top job
