Sealing water jacket on F4R

  TrackCar & F30 330d
I just have three questions about sealing the water jacket on the side of my F4R.

Does the order go the engine first then the gasket then the sealant then the metal jacket?

Is it ok to use loctite superflex black silicon sealer (5940) as the sealer.

How much do I need to put on? A pea sized line all the way round?

Sorry for all the questions

Thanks

I'm taking about the plate that is on the right hand side of the engine the one where the coolant pipes go on too. Should I just get a new gasket or can I use the old one and use the sealer on it?

If it's designed to have a gasket then it needs a gasket. Don't reuse the old one with sealer, chances are it won't seal as completely as you would like.

"unoffically" smear of silicone both sides chuck it on and tighten bolts to 11nm

BUT i'd never suggest doing that ;)
